Hello Friends.
We have big news. We have finally sent Firefly Diapers home to their own website. Call me a perfectionist or just call me overcommitted, but it has taken me many years to finally do it. It took me so long that W3 standards changed in the meantime, so it took me even longer.
But, as of today, the Firefly Diapers website is open for all to see, with a big colorful thank you collection of diapers available now. You may recognize a few articles from the Fuzbaby collection, and you will also find many new resources.
Important Notice: If you want to know about Firefly Diapers products in the future, be sure to subscribe to the mailing list on any page of the Firefly Diapers website.
Fuzbaby may look lonely without our sister Firefly Diapers, but we will get over it! I have wanted to remodel the Fuzbaby website for a while. In five years, I have yet to make significant changes to the website. Now is definitely about time.
If you know me well (and some of you do), you know that I love planning. I always have a business plan. I adore day planners. I make fun of them, yes, but I also use them daily. I look in my planner, and I have plenty to do.
Here are my Fuzbaby projects coming up, in order:
- Finish Contour Diapers. Just so you can see the state of this particular rainbow, I am providing a photo. Perhaps I just like keeping these colors around. Perhaps I have some deep psychological block against finishing the contour diapers that I need to explore. Fact is, they are there and in progress.
- Remodel Fuzbaby Website.
- Make the Diaper Garden Bloom Again. It will happen. When? Dunno. I just know what will come first.
If you like, you can add to that Firefly Diapers, Real Diaper Association, teaching, homeschool, and life. It is a busy, beautiful chaos, and I like it.
Lest the Fuzbaby website look took too lonely, you can still order Fuzbomb wool diaper covers here: http://www.fuzbaby.com/covers.htm Soon, even Fuzbaby diapers will be available again, but don't be surprised if it takes me until the end of the semester to pick up speed.
Speaking of Real Diaper Association (of which I am a founder), we are moving right along organizing advocates for cloth diapers. Parents are creating a stir about cloth diapers in Seattle (Real Diaper Circle #1), Atlanta (where there are several Real Diaper Circle Leaders in training), Maine (where we have two accredited Leaders), and in wildly diaper active Gainesville, Florida. For Real Diaper Association news, sign up above.
While you are at the Real Diaper Association website, join RDA in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd. This year's Earth Day Network theme is "Protect Our Children and Our Future." For this event, Real Diaper Association has launched a campaign: "Ask Me about Cloth Diapers." RDA wants you to share your cloth diapering expertise with the people you meet every day. To help you, Fuzbaby and Firefly Diapers will be sending "Ask Me" buttons with every order while our considerable supplies last. You can also get your own "Ask Me" buttons and T-shirts. Or, maybe you want to send a press release about your cloth diaper advocacy to the local news using the press release provided in the RDA Earth Day 2005 Resource Kit. Do it! You are the local expert. Check the Earth Day Network for more events.
Thank you for your interest,
