Fuzbaby Gallery: First Organic Cotton Diapers
Early 2000
Our first organic cotton diapers were colorgrown, woven cotton. The trim was a striped, giving the diapers a beautiful finished look.
The inner layer was a thick woven organic terry. Wow, was that ever thick. This is a whole-day-out diaper, if it would even fit on a real baby. The thickness made it nearly impossible to bind. What a monster. I still have these diapers on a shelf in my workshop because I'm afraid they won't hold up to washing. I didn't even try them on my own baby.
Still, we photographed them because they are some of the most striking diapers we made. (I always say "we" not in the sense of the royal "we" but in the sense that Marc did much of the work, whether sourcing, cutting, washing or later dyeing. Anything from Fuzbaby is from us together.)

Colorgrown sage stripes really do create eye candy for the organic crowd. Imagine the cush of about five layers of organic cotton heavy towelling, and you'll get the whole picture.
