Fuzbaby Gallery: Doll Diapers
1999 - 2001
Children learn to cloth diaper babies by cloth diapering their dollies. Especially when there is a newborn in the house, toddlers love to parent their own babies.

Flannel Doll Diapers
This is my daughter's own well-loved doll, Dora. I first made diapers for the doll when we were expecting a new baby. Then I used scraps left from flannel diapers to make more diapers. In our house, dolls, bears, a stuffed broccoli, and various other creatures all wear diapers.

Knit Doll Diapers
It started with flannel scraps and escalated from there. Next was the same knit as the big diapers. Most of the doll diapers and all of the wipes were made from the off-cuts from the big diapers.
After that, refuz. Also off-cuts from reclaimed T-shirts.

Knit Doll Diapers
Then, a long time later, we found the rest of the doll diapers when unpacking boxes. Some doll needs these diapers, so off they go!
Each set has it's own Fuzbaby string bag, made by us from 100% cotton muslin with the Fuzbaby logo -- the Fuzrise -- on the outside. |

The top set is made from the super soft organic cotton knit terry we originally used for all of our soakers.
The bottom set is Refuz, made from off-cut of our recycled T-shirt diapers.
When I looked at these again closely, I'm surprised at how much work they are. Very detailed. |
